He holds a dual degree in music production and composition from Berklee College of Music and is also an accomplished audio engineer, mixing and mastering for both his labels and outside clients. Nick produces music under the moniker Synnhaven, with a focus on atmospheric, textural deep and minimal house.

As Beatport's Director of Industry Partnerships, he oversees the weekly delivery of 30K+ releases for over 100,000 record labels and US-led company alliances. He cut his teeth as a mainstay in the early 90's SF music scene where he began DJing at the age of 17 in venues and parties like the now infamous Trocadero Transfer, DV8, Bulletproof, Wicked, Sunset, and King Street Garage. Over the last 30 years, he’s played alongside some of dance music's greatest jocks, from Tony Humphries, Jeff Mills, and Optimo to Paranoid London, Idjut Boys, Maurice Fulton, Metro Area, and Prins Thomas… the list goes on and on.
